MBNA Online

MBNA is the European credit card arm of Bank of America – one of the largest financial institutions in the world. MBNA was founded in the US in 1982 and began to issue credit cards as MBNA in the UK in 1993, establishing our headquarters in Chester. With offices located in Dublin and Carrick-on-Shannon, MBNA expanded to Ireland in 1997, and in April 2002 MBNA was established in Spain with an office in Las Rozas, Madrid. Today MBNA have grown to employ around 5,000 people as the largest credit card lender in Europe.

MBNA offers Online Card Services for MBNA cardholders. It is now easier to get access your MBNA account 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and the service is fast, safe and secure. MBNA Online Card Services providing you with the peace of mind that your account is well protected. With MBNA Online Card Services, you can:

  • Transfer balances from other credit cards or store cards. Are you being charged higher interest rates on your credit cards? You should try to transfer more expensive balances on to your MBNA credit card and you could save money (handling fee applies).
  • Transfer money from your credit card to your current account. MBNA are one of the few UK credit companies to offer money transfers from your credit card direct to your current account (handling fee applies).
  • View your PIN. You can securely access your PIN, you will need to provide your card security number (CVC) from the back of your credit card and then answer the on-screen questions when prompted.
  • Activate your card. To activate your credit card online using, simply log in or register for Online Card Services then follow the activation instructions.
  • Go paperless and view your statement. All new credit card accounts use paperless statements. You can view a year’s worth of statements online. You can change back to paper statements at any time
  • Pay your credit card account online. Take the hassle out of remembering to pay your subscriptions by setting up a Continuous Authority Transaction. This is an agreement between you and your merchant that allows the merchant to deduct regular payments from your MBNA credit card account in accordance with your authority, for example Sky subscriptions. It’s easy and quick to do and requires no further action unless you wish to cancel your subscription.
