AIB Personal Loans Online

If you are a registered customer of AIB Internet Banking Service, you can apply for a personal loan through Internet Banking. The personal loans are based on a variable rate (‘A’ loan rate). No fixed rate loans are available. These loans will be approved in a customer’s sole name – joint applications are not available.

An AIB variable interest rate loan is a personal loan which the interest rate charged on the outstanding balance varies as market interest rates change. However, your monthly repayments usually stay the same, so if interest rates rise during the loan term, you will have to make some extra payments at the end of the term. If the rate on your loan falls, you may pay off your loan earlier. You have the option of paying back your loan early or making unscheduled , additional repayments at any time with no penalty through your branch or Internet Banking.

The amount you can borrow is based on your capacity to make regular repayments. It’s also important not to overstretch your finances and to take into consideration the possibility of future out-of-the-blue expenses. You can apply for a loan from EUR1,500 to EUR30,000 over a period from 1 year to 5 years. Loan repayments can be made on either a monthly, fortnightly or weekly basis. You will be charged a competitive variable interest rate based on the amount borrowed and no charges applied for applying for a personal loan through AIB Internet Banking.
